Entering October...
In Wisconsin, this month welcomes victories and successes of our state's athletic teams. The UW-Madison Badger football team beat Nebraska in their much-anticipated game. The Milwaukee Brewers are winning so far in the play-offs,and the Green Bay Packers are playing extremely well.
We bid farewell to our summer shorts and bbq's,while some try to cling onto them for a few more weeks. The temps are dropping and with football,we may ease into Fall with the comfort of football game day chili, snacks, and parties.
In real estate, sellers are eager to sell before the holiday rush and winter flurries.Renters are figuring out if their lease allows them to sublet their apartment between October and February, should they find their dream home or bargain of the year.
Since mortgages rates are historically low,and there is talk of increasing lending requirements, some buyers are venturing out to shop the huge selection of housing inventory.Others, wary of their job security, are content with staying where they are.Only time will tell if they made the right decision. Many foreclosures are due to still come on the market,so the house prices should head downwards, still.
Soon after Halloween,,we'll be having our Thanksgiving turkey, and shopping for Christmas bargains.Yes,be warned...I have seen Christmas tree displays out.I think everyone will be shopping for bargains, but please remember you get what you pay for.In real estate, you don't want to skimp on a full-service broker, who can research title for you, give you the most marketing exposure,and/or provide you with the latest market statistics so you can make informed decisions.
