Whoooosh!!! November has flown by.The air is chillier, the wind is whipping up the leaves, but, thankfully, still no snow. Snow-shovelling and driving in the snow can wait til December.
Mobs of shoppers have hit the retail stores,or online shopping websites, but I'm one of the few still recovering from Thanksgiving and its aftermath.Just finished the last of the leftovers.Mmmmm.
December, when it arrives, will bring list-writing,goal-making,and wishes for the coming year.I'm not quite ready for all that....maybe tomorrow I'll be a little more prepared for it.
I guess I will think about getting the Christmas tree up,figure out Christmas menu, finalize gift ideas, and plan a busy calender which always fills up with holiday school concerts, volunteering to ring the Salvation Army bell, office party, and family get-togethers.I better get my Christmas music playing, and make some cookies to get into the Christmas spirit. But,first, I think I would like a nice nap. ;)
I'm thinking of Christmas cards, and sharing photos, and making some homemade gifts this year...so I better get moving.Wishing all a Happy ending of November, and a great start into December, before we gear up for the New Year!!! Yes, I predict lots of naps in between.

Entering October...
In Wisconsin, this month welcomes victories and successes of our state's athletic teams. The UW-Madison Badger football team beat Nebraska in their much-anticipated game. The Milwaukee Brewers are winning so far in the play-offs,and the Green Bay Packers are playing extremely well.
We bid farewell to our summer shorts and bbq's,while some try to cling onto them for a few more weeks. The temps are dropping and with football,we may ease into Fall with the comfort of football game day chili, snacks, and parties.
In real estate, sellers are eager to sell before the holiday rush and winter flurries.Renters are figuring out if their lease allows them to sublet their apartment between October and February, should they find their dream home or bargain of the year.
Since mortgages rates are historically low,and there is talk of increasing lending requirements, some buyers are venturing out to shop the huge selection of housing inventory.Others, wary of their job security, are content with staying where they are.Only time will tell if they made the right decision. Many foreclosures are due to still come on the market,so the house prices should head downwards, still.
Soon after Halloween,,we'll be having our Thanksgiving turkey, and shopping for Christmas bargains.Yes,be warned...I have seen Christmas tree displays out.I think everyone will be shopping for bargains, but please remember you get what you pay for.In real estate, you don't want to skimp on a full-service broker, who can research title for you, give you the most marketing exposure,and/or provide you with the latest market statistics so you can make informed decisions.

Summerfest is Here!
Summerfest is here!Well, in Milwaukee, but close enough. Some people don't like the large crowds, but there's plenty to do at Summerfest.Aside from the main stage acts, there are a variety of other smaller stages with a musical variety for almost anyone.
Soon after, will follow the Waukesha County Fair, the Wisconsin State Fair, and all the cultural fests.I love to try new foods and check out the markets at all the fests. This year,I take special notice that the UW-Madison Badger Band will be making an appearance at WI State Fair Park on August 10.My daughter is a member of the Band---yes,a proud Mama. She got to go to the Rose Bowl, and some of the band travels through the summer. So while she may not be sure if she'll change her major from Biology, she is certain she is having a lot of fun with the Band.I'll see her soon, and I hope we can get to attend some fairs, together, soon!
Don't let summer pass you by...enjoy the sunny weather and time with your family and friends!Find a festival,or a lake, pond for swimming or fishing.Just enjoy those summer BBQ's while you can!!
